Porsche Experience Day for our Service, Parts & Front of House Teams

On Saturday 18th September 2021, Porsche Centre Hatfield treated their Service, Parts and Front of House teams to a Porsche Experience Day at Silverstone.

Many of our team members start their careers in automotive because they have a real passion for sports cars, but due to their job roles don’t get to experience our product as much as other roles within the business. Therefore as a reward for their phenomenal performance and dedication to the brand, we challenged them in a series of fun driving experiences and workshops at our prestigious Porsche Experience Centre in Silverstone.

The day consisted of getting behind the wheel of the new Taycan with one-to-one tuition from a Porsche Driving Consultant.  This included putting the Taycan’s capabilities to the test on the Handling Circuit and Straights, as well as experiencing Launch Control in the Taycan, which, for most, was a first! 

We also challenged our staff to a number of driving challenges, pitting them against each other to win an unforgettable GT3 RS Passenger Experience at the end of the day. The challenges included:

• 911 Driving Dynamics Time Trial: a mini-circuit with the challenge to navigate around cones and park in the quickest time
• Racing simulator competition
• Cayenne Off Road Challenge
• Batak Challenge

There was also a workshop where we introduced our team members to Anna Victorious; a team of four men who are rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic in December raising money for Victoria’s Promise, a charity which aims to empower young women, and their families, through cancer and beyond.  We are one of their main sponsors and our team were treated to an interesting talk about the challenges they’ll face, as well as a tour of the compact boat they will call home for up to 40 days!

The Porsche Experience Centre is situated at the Silverstone Circuit, the home of British motorsport, in the heart of England.
