Manthey Performance Kits

Developed in close collaboration between the Nordschleife specialists from Manthey and the Porsche engineers in Weissach, The Manthey Performance kit provides a finely tuned package that allows certain GT cars to deliver an unbelievably changed performance for use on track. 

Extensive testing and many laps on Manthey’s home track, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, were involved in the development process to ensure that the Manthey products for road cars provide the best possible performance. As well as focusing on the performance on track, the developers also put the emphasis on ensuring that the cars remain suitable for everyday use.

In June 2021, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS fitted with the Manthey Performance Kit lapped the 20.8-kilometre Nürburgring circuit in 6:43.300 minutes, beating the previous fastest time by 4.747 seconds. Therefore, making it the fastest road-production car ever to take to the track.

The Manthey Kit consists of chassis, aerodynamic and break components as well as the Weissach Package’s light magnesium alloy wheels and is now available for purchase and fitting at Porsche Centre Hatfield throuh Porsche Tequipment.

Below is a breakdown of the Manthey Performance Kit shown on a 911 GT3 RS.

Overall downforce increases by 70% due to a new rear spoiler shifting the aerodynamic balance towards the rear axle. Working in conjunction with the carbon fibre Aerodiscs on the rear wheels, this further enhances the car’s aerodynamic efficiency and reduces turbulence. At speeds of 200km/h when the rear is set to performance for track use, total downforce increases from 89 to 169kg.

A special four-way coilover suspension allows suspension struts to be adjusted to four different positions, offering improved handling and ride comfort. Suspension is also lowered by 30mm, helping to improve the centre of gravity and reduce body roll.

Steel brake lines are included as a standard component of the kit which guarantee an exact pressure point ensuring optimal braking power delivery. Special racing brake pads are available as an optional extra which provide constant friction characteristics over wide temperature ranges as well as good wear and low disc corrosion.

The kit additionally offers a supplemental water tank for air cooling increases volume by approximately nine litres, thereby increasing time between refills and a set of lightweight forged wheels reducing unsprung mass and improving the car's handling
